Get on it already. We need something that can detect planet killing asteroids and shoot them into a different direction. Fuck all the other planets they can have it. They can tell us about planets billions of light-years away but cannot protect our own. Pfft. Do better.

I think the solution to this is to give every American a bazooka and a case of hand grenades.
That way when the assteroid gets close enough we can blow it up!
Nothing would go wrong with this idea.
I'm sure we can trust everyone with their weapons and they will save them for the good deed.
