i'm on season 4 and megan looks so goofy i can't stand it
the actress has the worst facial expressions and she does this weird thing with her head that resembles a chicken
her gums are like another sentient being and i've seen too much of them -

I know, a lot of people were and are bugged by Megan.
Jessica Pare, the actor, and Megan the character, took a
lot
of flack about her teeth and gums, so much so, there Matt Weiner even turned it into a joke in a later episode.
I never faulted either the actor or the character for her teeth or gums, but did fault Pare for being a terrible actor, at least in this part. And Weiner for casting her in it. The show was chock full of amazing talent, and Pare stuck out like a sore thumb.
She was fine, even good, as a side character, pretty but gawky and awkward as the receptionist. But once she was given a bigger role, which was more than she could handle, awful.
Prepare yourself, she gets a much bigger role and much more screentime in the following two seasons. I liked them despite Megan, but she did bring down my enjoyment of seasons 5 and 6. -

i know the topic of her teeth has been exhausted to death but honestly i don't mind her teeth and in fact they'd almost be cute if she didn't make the ugliest faces
it's also hard to look past how she looks bc the actress is terrible
i think she's more attractive than elisabeth moss for example but moss plays peggy so well
i know she gets married to don or whatever which is infuriating to me but i never liked faye either -

Well I'll be. Faye did say it, in S4E2, Christmas Comes But Once A Year.
Bert: Civil rights is the beginning of a slippery slope.
Geoff: If they pass Medicare, they won't stop until they ban personal property.
Faye: Storm our houses and rape our wives -

Geoff: "You're from Great Britain. I'd think you'd be familiar with the perils of socialism."
Bert: "Civil rights is the beginning of a slippery slope."
Geoff: "If they pass Medicare, they won't stop until they ban personal property."
Faye: "Storm our houses and rape our wives."
I think Faye was joking, trying to make fun of Bert and Geoff's attack on socialism. -

That's how I took it, and at the same time not wanting to overtly disagree with either her boss or Bert, and so passing it off as a joke, even though it was.
BTW, I'll miss your posts/threads, Thomasina, when the boards are gone.
