My guess is that ASP NEVER thought Melissa would be the one with the big career out of this cast.I thought Melissa did just fine as Sookie.

I wouldnt have an issue if the revival was longer. But too much done with too little time.

  • Am I the only one who really disliked Lorelai and Rory in this episode?

She wouldn't be a bad mom in the sense that she would feed the child and send it to expensive schools. But emotionally she can't be a mom. She's too self involved.
History won't repeat itself. This story won't end well. Unless Lorelai and Luke raise the kid, it's a lost cause.

Logan/Christopher and Jess/Luke have similarities because of the role they play in Rory and Lorelai's lives.
Logan and Christopher represent the fantasy life. They both have money and a good family name, but that is not what makes them the fantasy. Christopher keeps appearing in Lorelais life and makes her think what if. She doent quit him until they are married and the fantasy bursts.
Logan kind of does the same to Rory. He shows her a different world to Stars Hollow. He is an adventure and he never sit still. Even before he proposed to her, he would go off when things didnt go his way. Truthfully I love Rory and Logan in season 5. They way he shook her up and made her come out of her shell. However his world ruined her. She kept on bending her morals to fit in (I am not blaming Logan for this) but she was never as shallow as when she was with him. Odette made Rorys fantasy bubble burst. And their goodbye was truly goodbye.
Luke and Jess grounds the Gilmore Girls. Luke is a stable in Lorelais life. He support and challenges her in a way Chris never could.
Jess also grounds Rory. Not when they were dating he was kind of an ass then. But he tells her the truth about herself and makes her look at her life. He made her go back to Yale and he tells her to write a book. I dont think he is over Rory and I think he will be there to love her and her child the way Luke loved Rory and Lorelai.
