Why isn't the general public interested in her anymore?

I think its because she hasn't put out any music until this year. I have fairly high expectations for her up coming album. I hope its as good as Stripped and Back to Basics. I liked her best last season on The Voice but I do hope she spends more time on her music and even touring with her new ablum and not go back to The Voice. But that's just me.

She has completely different genres on every album
Debut
: pop (if there is anything else just say. I have not listened to this cd in several years.)
Stripped
: Pop Rock and R&B/Soul
B2B
: Throwback to blues and jazz
Bionic
: Electronic
I don't care for Lotus. I don't know much about the cd so I know very little about the type of songs except for the singles.
I like that she takes those kind of risks in her music. She took pretty long time between albums. She is one of the biggest inspirations for the majority of the pop girls and is legendary. Her voice is certainly known as one of the best. It could be worse. All I want is great cd like Stripped and B2B. I don't except her to sell her music and tour like she did in her previous eras before Bionic. If it happens I will be pleasantly surprised. I do wish her well though. She deserves more success. -

Her debut also had some R&B sounding tracks like So Emotional, Somebody's Somebody, and Love Will Find A Way.
Lotus? I would say that it was mostly commercialized pop.
Don't play games with a gda0irl who can play better. -

I hate when people say she kelp changing her sound. It's all POP MUSIC with just influences from different types of music.
Britney is not as popular as you think. Her new single just bomb hard. Christina needs to get it together. She pretty much has one last chance 3 strike rule. -

Because she takes too long between albums and has stopped promoting her music. She also comes across as a rather arrogant person which the public (other than the fans) cannot warm to. Britney breezed through hit after hit and album after album before any long term breaks whereas Christina does this after every album therefore her career lost momentum.
Although she is still somewhat a name in the media I believe she is now seen as a TV personality who had a music career who now merely collaborates on singles as opposed to somebody who is still relevant on the music scene. As unintentional as it may have been I think it hurt her career massively when Bionic was released shortly after Lady Gaga exploded on the scene. If she had timed the released better (i.e. sooner) then perhaps the outcome would have been different.
It was also down to poor single choices which lead to her albums very quickly losing attention and focus. The earliest example of this was the release of Hurt after ANOM. I think her record label hoped to replicate the popularity of Beautiful however it killed the momentum of the B2B album and she then took years off to raise her child after the world tour had finished. If Candyman had been released second then perhaps it would have been a different story. The same applies to releasing You Lost Me as the second single from Bionic. As amazing as the song is I think she should have just bit the bullet at the time and released Woo Hoo as the second single despite all the backlash she was getting for being overtly sexual.
I am a massive fan of Christina but I think these are all solid reasons for the big decline in her popularity. I cross her fingers that she can get it together for her new release and get back the recognition she deserves. -

C2000ouldn't agree more, she takes too much time in between. A lot of singers put out an album every year or 2. ( I will use Carrie Underwood as an example, her first album was in 2005/2006, Carnival Ride was put out in 2007, Play On was 2009, Blown Away was released in 2012, Her Hits album was released in 2014 and Storyteller was released in2015) You can take time in between but not years and years! Christinas albums are like 1999, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and so forth. I really don't see her making a come back, I hope she does!
.I hope her next album is going to be good. I miss Stripped & B2B !!
