Moe, Larry, and Curly are the ones to watch! Even though they only have a few, almost cameo moments onscreen, it's great to see the Boys in a feature film.
And it's amazing to think, with John Gilbert - arguably the most popular star of the Silent Era and Victor McLaglen - an Oscar-winner and the top-billed star of this movie, that The Three Stooges are the only actors that would be remembered and continue to be tremendously popular more than 75 years after this movie has long-been forgotten!
I kept wishing John Gilbert to move aside so I could see the Boys, who were in the background playing it mostly straight! Obviously, Columbia didn't know how best to use their talents. Example: what a missed opportunity during John Gilbert's fight scene - they were just standing around doing nothing! Can you just imagine the chaos that could have ensued had the Boys gotten involved?
Larry gets the only funny line when he explains to a passenger that the drum set is from another band.
At least they were acknowledged in the movie's credits, although a combined one as The Three Stooges.
