    Okay, here's my theory:
    In Happy Feet and Babe, we begin to see signs of animals genetically modified (talking, dancing, acting like intelligent beings). Because Witches of Eastwick proves that there are witches and "magic," this could all be the case to eventually lead to animals talking. Though, overtime, the animals start to change, and morph. This could explain the creature at the end of Twilight Zone: The Movie.
    Once the water and gas wars begin, all creatures lose the magic because the war and nuclear fall out kills all them off. Now, in the Mad Max Universe, we see multiple deformed animals (two headed lizards and such). This could be the remaining animals left over.
    Clearly not real. Just found it interesting
