George Miller has proved at 70 years of age to return to the action genre by going old school with no CGI tricks, but also to make a masterpiece with "Fury Road". He is the truly the exceptional director of our time.

The first Mad Max was fan5b4tastic for a first time feature director with a low-budget and its impact is undeniable. For its genre, Happy Feet is a great achievement and deservedly gave Miller an Oscar for animated movie. Witches of Eastwick is also great for what it is- a big budget mainstream Hollywood movie.

Considering the budget he worked with on MAD MAX-79' and what he ended up giving us and the kinetic energy of the film, he did remarkably well. He was in top form with MAD MAX 2-81', and I feel this was worthy of a Best Picture nod. It set a benchmark for futuristic action films and I have never forgotten the first time I saw it at the cinema. I also enjoy WITCHES OF EASTWICK-87' and while a change of pace for him, it is an 80's cult favorite for many. As for BABE: PIG IN THE CITY and HAPPY FEET, not my thing really; but still very well done and popular.
