Alex,in some interview and in photo ops , plays around with femininity. It depends on the circumstances that surround a givin movie. He will curtsy instead of bowing, he strike poses ( ex. Turning his back to the camera ,looking over his shoulder coyly and lifting his right foot in a parody of a classic pin up girl from the 40's -50-s) and arching his neck and head pretending to sroke long hair that is not there . It is more of a persona that he is briefly cultivating and has more to do with his goofball sense of humor rather than any inherent homosexuality.
In other circumstances he is quite regal and very controlled or he is relaxed and comfortable. In all instances he is plaiting around with personas. His wit is always just around the corner ready to be paraded out at a momments notice. He is particularly fond of saying outrageous things with a dead pan face.
He is a very private person with a touch of shyness. I think his creation of public personas is his way of coping with the spotlight and all of the attention it brings
