Sharon is a fantastic actress, but casting her as Chris MacNeil in
    The Exorcist
series was a mistake. Some roles should be left well enough alone, and Ellen Burstyn is and will always be Chris MacNeil.

I hate that mentality. A new actor can offer fresh insight on a famous role and sometimes surpass the original.
After all Anthony Hopkins is and always will be Hannibal Letter, but I can now say Mads Mikkelson's very different take might be my preferred incarnation of the character.
