Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Steve Zahn

If anyone were to ever play Staley in a movie I mean, Zahn may not be a serious enough actor to portray someone with such a twisted and sad life, but man, slap some shades on this guy and give him the right haircut, and he's the spitting image of the Alice in Chains frontman.

If you've ever seen him in "Riding in Cars With Boys" (a sad-ish movie, but worth seeing. Drew Barrymore was also exceptional in it) you'd see what a range this man has in his acting ability. I think he could definitely pull it off. Great idea, btw, that would never have occurred to me. Tbh,I'm surprised they haven't done any biopics on Alice in Chains or Nirvana. (Which was mentioned in another post. ) both are interesting stories with much drama, sadness, and would be compelling, imo.
