Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Kyle Secor

Earlier this year, Kyle starred in a stage version of
    The Shawshank Redemption
in Edinburgh, Scotland's Fringe Festival. Here is a very brief newspaper write-up:
    http://www.edinburgh-festivals.com/blog/2013/08/07/theatre-review-the- shawshank-redemption/
Played by Kyle Secor, Dufresne is a lanky enigma: tall but not dominant, wise but not weak, brooding but not uncivil. Visually as well as emotionally, his partnership with Red, standing together like a hall-of-mirrors Laurel and Hardy, suggests a sense of balance and wholeness.
    From this article,
    http://www.meg.ie/the-shawshank-redemption-at-the-gaiety-theatre/#stha sh.8NSubCbV.gbpl
, it sounds like the play had an additional short run after the Fringe Festival.
With a powerful cast including Omid Djalili, Kyle Secor, Terry Alderton and Joe Rooney, this is a theatrical experience not to be missed, bringing together a sizzling fusion of both seasoned stage actors and well-known stand up comedians, directed by acclaimed RSC director Lucy Pitman Wallace. This production with its six-figure budget will make full use of The Gaiety Theatre with stunning sets recreating the prison environment, and sumptuous stage and 2000costume designs by Gary McCann, and lighting by Kevin Treacy.
Nice photo with the second article though it is distorted (at least on my screen) to make Kyle appear even taller and more gaunt than I think he actually is.
