Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Tracy Scoggins

see roles she could have played, but for some reason scheduling conflicts or whatever they didn't use her? I keeps seeing that could have been written for her and wondering, "Why didn't they use Tracy for this?"
Does Hollywood forget she has range? That she can play a number of accents? Or do they eternally see her in a little box marked "Colbys"?

I think she would make a good villainess like Cruella De Ville or an evil sorceress, I've heard many actresses love to play the "bad guy." I could see her in many of the roles that were given to Meryl Streep.
I will never let you part, for you are always in my heart: MJ

Hollywood seems to have their minds locked in when it comes to casting. We see the same handful of actresses over and over until we get sick of it.
There's a new movie coming out, a period piece, that has Meryl Streep in it. I was interested in the movie until I saw her and had the knee-jerk reaction, "What? Not again!238"
Tracy's underused in comedies, where she'd surprise a lot of people. She's excellent, as you said, in any good villainess role because she brings nuance to the character.
Sometimes I just want to grab casting directors and ask them what they're thinking
