Rodriguez has a child's mentality. He just writes and shoots whatever he thinks is cool, but doesn't think about putting them in any sort of context. People say George Lucas thinks like a child when it comes to making movies, but Rodriguez makes him seem like beep Stanley Kubrick in comparison. It's baffling how long he's been in the business for but yet, still hasn't matured beyond this level of thinking.

Well, I personaly see it as something that defines him and makes him different. I don't think he ever thought about being an Oscar contender anyway. He just lets his imagination flow and makes cool flicks. I personaly respect that.

Yeah, and look how far his imagination flow has gotten him with his career. He was interesting in the 90's because he was basically the adult embodiment of every kid who ever ran around in their backyard filming stuff with their friends but now, that beep gotten old. I don't think I'm alone in wanting to see him make something more substantial these days and less "look at me, I'm so creative!"
