What else would you recommend I watch?
I thought he was quite handsone and dashing in SoM - what other (accessible to find) films would you suggest? Some in his younger years would be particularly appreciated!
    Thanks.

These are probably the most accessible of his films from that era. They've all been released on DVD, but you'll have to search around.
The Fall of the Roman Empire
      Inside Daisy Clover
      Triple Cross
      Battle of Britain
The Royal Hunt of the Sun
      Waterloo

Royal Hunt of the Sun and The Silent Partner have probably 2 of his best under-rated performances.
                It's only a movie

Triple Cross is okay. Not his best, but he looking so hot in the movie. He's flawless in Inside Daisy Clover. Another underrated perforamce of his in a TV movie called "Crossings." He blew my mind! I think its on YouTube still.

Honestly, pretty much everything he's done he's wonderful in, whether the film is any good or not.
