If it's in the script that you get punched in the face, you're not supposed to actually get punched in the face. Nor is any other violent act in a script actually supposed to happen to you. It's all make-believe. It's supposed to be coordinated and rehearsed so nobody gets hurt. She had no reason to believe that she would actually be injured.

Read the story about her lawsuit. its ridiculous. And yes, i do know how actors work.
