Danson can go on and on about his co-star, Shelley Long, and the sincerity in his words is evident. Shelley is a very kind, caring person. If you were to say, Shelley, you hurt my feelings, shed be devastated. She truly cares about people. I think shes going to be one of the big comediennes of our day.
Ted Danson and Shelley Long: Televisions Sexiest Romance by Roberta Smoodin, Playgirl, January 1984.

That's very sweet. Too bad he was angry and bitter with her for leaving even though he did get over that eventually.

The Sam/Diane romance was all that was interesting about Cheers.
I dont think I even managed to watch Cheers completely after that it lingered on, but there was no real point to the show afterwards anymore.
