Yes, he does look very happy. I don't know him and I've never met him, but he seems to be very laid back, full of joy, and centered. His philosophy and spirit seems to flow from him to others. He is blessed in knowing what he wanted for his life and could create and maintain a job which would allow him to follow his passions, his acting being one of them.
His farm looks beautiful in the documentary trailer, and so green! It must be a very satisfying feeling having done all the work himself, with help from friends, from cleaning up the land, to building the house, to making it liveable in his own way.
I understand his connection with the land. Owning land and being part of it is always something I've wanted to do. I find nature very peaceful and joyous.

I totally agree with you, especially with the last words. That is the part of my dream too.
He seems to be strong, confident and contemplative equally in this video. I read he had faced many problems at the beginning of his career. And though I would like see more of him in films and public, it is really fine to see him so satisfied and living in accordance with his nature and his wishes. In my taste, the only stuff he needs around is a couple of cute kids with his features)) But likely, he is really self-sufficient and can feel happy without having family.
And personally, I have to say he has ones of most beautiful man hands I have ever seen))))
