My friend told me ages ago the fella who played Bruce Lee was his son in real life and that the mother was a waitress. But it says on this site that he is no relation. Is this True??

No Bruce only had 2 kids. Brandon who died in a mysterious shooting accident in which a gun that was supposed to have been shooting blanks & someone replaced them with a real bullet. And Shannon who is also an actress.

No one replaced it with a real bullet. They made their own dummy cartridges by removing the bullet, emptying the gun powder and then detonating the primer. One of these dummy bullets still had a primer so when it fire the bullet moved into the barrell of the gun. During a death scene later the same gun was used only this time load with blanks. Blanks have gunpowder or firework powder to made a blast and spark but they don't have bullets. This powder was enough to send the bullet that was lodged in the barrel out. It was much slower than a real bullet but the size of the bullet and the proximity to Brandon is what made it fatal.

actually a blank is just a bullet with out gun powerder. it had a blank in it but that blank broke while firing and and a fragb68ment got stuck in the chamber when firing a second round that fragment was dislodged and fired into his abdamen

There are many mysteries and misconceptions surrounding Bruce Lee, and I can understand why one would think Bruce and Jason are related, especially considering the same last name. For a long time, I always thought it was a rumor that Bruce had a son at all, but I did some research and found out the truth. That's what's so great about the internet, if you have a question about somethingyou can look it up.or ask someone! -

the people that think they might be related just because of their last name must think that all the people with last name Smith are related also
except Lee is a much much much more common last name spanning over 4 countries -

LOL! I heard a similar rumour that he was Bruce Lee's son by that Chinese actress Bruce was having an affair with, Betty Ting Pei, she was in The Game Of Death with him. Now that seemed cool and pretty believable but it is only a rumour!

Betty Ting Pei announced a while ago she'll release a book in wich she will finally tell the truth about what happened between her and Bruce. Although it's been speculated, an affair between the two was never confirmed.As far as we know, Bruce loved his wife and kids too much to have an affair.

If you think of all the people with the last name Lee, the chances are slim that Jason Scott Lee is Bruce Lee's son. I have heard people who believe that Jason Scott Lee is Bruces son, but it isn't so.
