Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Amy Irving

It says in her filmography that she was 'the voice of the girl on the train'.
Do they mean the girl at the end of the film? Why would they dub her voice over the actual actress's voice I wonder?
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
    "Didn't he discover America?"
    "Penfold, shush."

Yes she dubs the girl at the very end. The girl on the train is supposed to remind Michael J. Fox's character about Tran Thi Oanh. The two characters are played by the same actress, but in order for it to be more believable that she is indeed someone else, they got Irving to dub her voice. Why Amy Irving?, I have no idea

DePalma also cast her in a small role in 'The Black Dahlia', but her part was cut before filming.
