most gay people who don't die of aids don't actually die from being killed "because they were gay". there's usually something else that follows along with that "killed because", but since we've decided that gay death is somehow much more horrible we've attached "hate crime" to anytime a gay dies by someone else's hand. as can be demonstrated over and over, gays aren't simply trying to live quietly. it is in everyone's face, maximizing the time, and if the person getting shoved isn't "for" then they are labeled "bigot".
btw, we all have equal rights. i don't have the right to marry within my gender and neither should anyone else. while we open up that definition, we might as well include toasters, goats, and balls of yarn. no one has been stopping you from living out your days with whoever you want.
Beware, reading too far down gets you to a signature.

I don't think that they are "inherently inferior". More to the point, since you think less of homophobic people, that would make you inherently inferior to those who don't. You think that is the case?
On the other hand, homophobia (as opposed to mild feeling of "otherness") is about as much "OK" as sesame seed allergy, or any other kind of hypersensitivity: It's just plain undesirable. -

Despite that these are just rumors and the facts that:
- disliking gay people would be fitting for a method actor playing an italian mobster
- he even played a gay hitman himself
who says that he disliked them because they are gay?
Really, I do not have anything against gay people but I hate these "minority protections".
If someone dislikes an average straight white person no one cares.
If someone dislikes a black/asian/whatever person for the same reason he disliked the white one - RACIST!
If someone dislikes a gay person for the same reason he disliked the straight one - HOMOPHOBE!
Seriously, I am fed up with people bitching about equality when they, in fact, use their "differences" as an advantage whenever possible. Belonging to a certain race or having a certain sexual orientation doesnt mean you couldnt be unlikable.

I doubt it. When he was 21 he ran a club in New York called 'Private Eyes'. It was a gay club 2 nights a week. James said he learned a lot during those years that he put into his acting.

That's a stupid assumption to make about his adverse reaction to the Queer Eye guys showing up unannounced. Much more likely is that he resented the reality-show intrusion into his privacy, and resented even more the implication that he needed the sort of makeover they did.

If he hated gay people, he wouldn't have worked alongside Edie Falco
. And besides he started work in theater before he did television. Theater is filled with gays. If you are doing theater and can't stand to work with gay people, you'd be a starving actor for a long time. -

He could have been, but I doubt it. He may not have been very accepting/understanding of alternative lifestyles but thats a far cry from being homophobic. Of course I did hear he was a very private person and could be abrasive like Russell Crowe at times when approached so it could be that he was an equal-oppourtunity guy who lashed out.
