Off the top of my head: Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry. Race With the Devil. Easy Rider. 92 in the Shade. I'm probably forgetting others.

He "knows what it's like to be dead", remember? Type casting.

Actually, the audience don't really know wether he dies in Easy Rider or not. Most people ASUME he and Dennis dies, but the last time we see Dennis he's alive and we only see Captain America fly off, not Peter. It's an open ending. They said so themselves. There were plans of making a sequel wich never happened, but I believe there is on in production at the moment.

I've been wondering the same thing myself lately.
I haven't seen "92 In The Shade," but can vouch for the other three. In Race With the Devil, as the previous poster says about "Easy Rider," the death is assumed rather than shown.
I've been trying to track down a complete synopsis of "Outlaw Blues," but been unable to do so. It's been a long time since I saw that one, and my memory is a bit foggy about it, but I seem to recall that's yet another movie in which Fonda's character dies suddenly and somewhat randomly/unexpectedly at the end. Is anybody out there more familiar with OB than I am? Yea or nay on the death ending?
