If his last name was not Fonda, we would never have heard of him. He is an unimpressive actor who has traded on his father's name all his career.

I think he's a maverick who doesn't really give a beep what anyone thinks. He's very good when he's in a good role. "The Limey" and "3:10 to Yuma" come to mind. But I don't think he's ever really cared much to earn anyone's approval or anything.

I've always enjoyed PF's work, going way back to Westworld and The Trip. He was terrific in "The Limey" with Terence Stamp. Love "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" and "Race with the Devil." I would say he's very UNDERrated as an actor, and he has screen presence too.
