I came to post something about this. It seems Alyssa is going to be in an actual series of "Mistresses" for ABC, which is filming now. When I saw that article I thought 'Didn't Holly film a pilot for this show a couple of years ago?'
How bizarre!

Yes, it is bizzare. Holly was in a pilot for what was advertised as a series, though IMDB now lists it as a TV movie, that was not picked up. My understanding is that she not only was one of the main characters, but was also producing the show. The show, which is a copy of a British show by the same name, was not picked up at the time, but seems to have been now. That was in 2009.
Now, it appears that Alyssa M. has one of the main roles, though the names of the characters (at least some of them) have been changed, and I don't see Holly's name on anywhere in the list of producers, director, etc. for the one episode they list. Also, looking at the cast, it appears only a few made it to this new version of the show. Holly is listed as a cast member, but that could just be bad IMDB supplied info. She has a supporting role in a show that seems to be doing OK right now (Pretty Little Liars). She also had her third son, not long before she split from David Donoho. So, I imagine she has her hands full taking care of three small children all under 10 years old. With all the pets she has, she either has a lot of help or is going non-stop all day long.
No new news here, but if Holly is no longer involved, then either the rights to make the show were sold off to another group to make what is now listed as a TV series. Unless more info comes out, we'll just have to wait to see if this show is picked up by a network. Perhaps they're looking for a potential replacement to Desparate Housewives.
If you hear more, please post in this thread. Thanks
