I do and mostly faerie smut because it's the best. How tf do you explain that to people irl? Like when they ask what you're reading? I usually tell them it's a bit spicy but it's awkward sometimes

So de Sade is literally where the term "sadism" comes from lol I read him as an edgy 20-something. Nin was the lover of writer Henry Miller (and tons of other people) and I read her erotica alongside her other stuff. And, Anne Rice is, of course, typically a horror writer. Which I suppose is fitting since those particular books shocked me as a teenager from a good Christian home

Fourth Wing/Empyrean series is smutty and has dragons! But no spice with the dragons. That would be weird.
