Back in 1959, I was in Las Vegas with my fiance Eva Gabor in the Flamingo Hotel, when we decided to marry.
I needed a Best Man, so we looked up the varioos acts playing Vegas at the time and saw that Rougie was appearing at the Sands. I had known him for years when we both lived in New york.
We Got married and was probably the only person who ever found his best man from the list of performers in Las Vegas.
I moved to London about 39 years ago but we stayed in touch and would see each other a couple of times a year.
He was special. I will miss him

Wow, that's an amazing story. I wish I had gotten to meet him.

I wish I could go back in time to meet him, and get a Polaroid picture taken with him so he could 1ebcautograph it. I'd keep it until I had enough for a "scrapbook of.." type book.
