Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Danny Boyle

I really like Danny Boyle's no budget DV feature Strumpet. Not everyone's cup of tea, but to me seems to a trial run for Slumdog Millionaire (a modern urban fairytale, hand-held DV cameras, warmth to the bleak environments, homeless girls and a frantic chase to a TV studio for the finale)
Plus also he's clearly having some fun with the freedom of a no budget and easy to use DV cameras (clearly serving as a trial run for 28 Days Later) after the more Hollywood production of The Beach.
And Chris Ecceleston is excellent in it!
    Just wondering what people think?
"What are you, some kind of doomsday machine, boy?"
