She is a lunatic when it comes to politics. She was on Bill O'Reilly last year bashing Chavez, but it was all empty rhetoric, you could tell this woman can't have a serious, detailed political discussion, which explains why she chose to go on Fox News.

The entire response to the Juanes concert in Cuba from the Miami right-wing has been completely insane. These people are all hypocrites. I never see them complain about Latin American countries with officially WORSE human rights records than Cuba, like Mexico, Peru, Guatemala etc. Maria Conchita was also planning some dumb anti-Chavez movie where she tries to justify the 2002 coup against his ELECTED government. One funny development was when Chavez broke relations with Israel over the Gaza war, she announced all of a sudden that the main character of her as yet to be made movie would be Jewish. Just clownish antics. Most of these radical right-wingers can't have a serious political discussion with anyone anyway.

Actually Cuba has the worst human rights issues. Cuban Punk Rocker Gorky Avila was jailed several times for speaking against the regime. Also no one can own a boat without having a permit. That basically means no Ernest Hemingway adventures for anyone unless they have a paper stating they may. Why do you think thousands of Cubans gathered outside the Peruvian embassy in the early 80s to leave anywhere (yes, Peru), or even those who embarked from the Mariel. Why would so many people risk their lives on rafts? Those who were sent back to Cuba by American authorities were sent to prison (i.e. by Cuban authorities), those who studied at universities were banned from continuing their education. Think about that one. Also look into La Cabana and General Ochoa. This does not mean that there aren't any (free) bad apples living in the States.
You obviously don't know any Cubans and dismiss the exiles as "those Miami Cubans". Ignoring the fact that during the Juanes/Miguel Bose concert there was a great divide between Cubans in Miami. Those in favor of the concert and those against it. Both sides had their good reason, and both are against Castro's regime. The whole truth like in any former regime will come out when it falls, and not from Hollywood. -

Yeah, she should be one of those "reasoned" left-wing lunatics like Sean Penn, The Robbin's girls (Susan and Tim), Megan Fox, and Madonna. Now there are some great examples of principled, detailed, and well reasoned Non-Fox reporting Hollywood types.

Most of you movie buffs and h5b4ollywood sillies need only to look towards your "camelot' to see all the hypocrisy. maybe the redistribution of wealth should start at the propaganda machine that is hollywood. All that money that is made in film, tv, music, and sports should be given back to the people.the 'stars' should live in post WW II suburban type homesgood ol' fashioned regular stuff

She lived in both Cuba and Venzuela, that's more than that great paragon of intelligence Sean Penn has done. She's been there, so I have to give her more credit than some celebrity who flies in from Hollywood and shakes hands with their favorite dictator of the month like Penn does. Let"s see him get away with the sh!t he pulls in a country like that as a nobody. He would change his mind d@mn quick. I find it pretty ironic, how he wants people jailed for calling a friend of his a dictator, and yet wants to be able to say what he wants without any repurcussions. Typical liberal. It's amazing how much they revere dictators like Castro and Chavez.They must be little dictators themselves to a degree.

Wasn't Sean Penn who locked his former spouse Madonna in the closet and also was jealous or angry at Madonna's friendship with Sandra Bernhardt because she was a lesbian? Oh my, how Sean is suddenly singing a different tune. This comes from the pot head of Fast Times at Ridgemond High who never attended college and who ran through a gate at Angelina and Brad Pitt's compound with reckless abandonment ala John Wayne.
