Gene Wilder was, of course, the master of the comedic pause, and could also deliver even the most prosaic lines in an extremely funny way. For example in Young Frankenstein "Class is dismissed" becomes hilarious.
My favorite is this one:
"Dumb, stupid bastard!"

My favorite will always be in the movie before he became Gene Wilder; Bonnie and Clyde. He and his "girlfriend" Evans Evans; I'm still trying to figure out if that was/is her real name; were essentiallly kidnapped by Bonnie and Clyde. They were crowded into the back seat for awhile and Bonnie was having fun talking to them and she eventually asked him what his job was or what he did for a living. 111cHe simply said "I'm an undertaker" and Bonnie blew her top and kicked them out of the car. I saw it originally in the theater and loved the movie and have watched bits and pieces on TV so I may have missed some specific details about the scene.
