It's amazing to me that he hasn't been in a movie with Deniro or anyone else from The Deer Hunter.

Do you mean 'since' The Deer Hunter? Walken had a key role in that - actually won the Oscar for it. Yes, it seems odd that he hasn't re-teamed with anyone from that flick.
