I don't know many actors as handsome as John Ritter during his time who were doing the type of physical comedy that he did on
Three's Company
. Actors who had Ritter's looks were doing drama, action, and romance features, and if they did comedies, they were playing the straight man to a less handsome comic actor. John Ritter showed us that a goodlooking guy can do slapstick humor without it looking odd. I think he made it easier for current "hunky" actors to get comic roles.
