Jason is not in the film industry for the money or celebrity status. He chooses his projects very carefully and those that speak to him personally. He also prefers to do inde type films instead of the big block buster type. As a result he also doesn't get chosen for the big block buster films either. He takes his projects very seriously and works very diligently and focused when he is working. I respect him all the more for choices.

I for one am glad he got the money to fund Your Friends & Neighbors, as it is a terrific movie, and one of Jason's finest performances. I give him a lot of credit for making a commercial film for the sake of his art.

I think JP is an awesome actor. Obviously Speed 2 was a commerical choice for a big paycheck and he is not alone in doing that. How could he have known it would turn out so bad. Johnny Depp has done much the same thing his entire career and Chris Nolan is doing it now too. A lot of the talented actors, directors etc do it all the time. 1 on and 1 off is a widely accepted formula for making your money then doing something you want to do. I would watch a movie with him in it before Keanu anyday.
