Why didnt this guy play yodas voice in the clone wars instead of tom kane?

Too old? I know the obvious response to that is 'Well, Yoda is old' but the voice does change with age.
A good example is Mel Blanc's later work, such as 'Quackbusters', and other compilations which added some new material to fit into a story with older cartoons.

From interviews it sounds like he just wasn't asked. He'd probably cost too much.
