I was just surfing through her photos and noticed that, at least as a somewhat older woman, she has never seemed to want to show her neck. Turtlenecks, chokers, high collars, beads, always something large on her neck as if she is isn't very comfortable showing it. I'm not implying anything, I just happened to notice it. Does anyone know if she has a surgical or other scar there, or any other reason to hide her neck? It could just be her preference, or because of wrinkled skin, etc. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was another reason that perhaps I had never heard about?

I've read somewhere that she just loves to cover almost every part of her body, as much as possible. She loves clothes, loves to dress, and wears hats, gloves, scarfs, boots or shoes with long pants. It's quite rare, though it certainly happens, that she'll wear a dress short enough to see any of her legs, or a v-neck anything. In the film SGTG, I thought she looked great, and there were some scenes in which she "covered up" in her white turtlenecks (and remember, Nicholson's character even teased her about wearing a sweater in July.and her response was fairly personal, I thinkbecause she does love to cover). However, she then showed up in a later scene in which Keanu Reeves picks her up for a date, and she's wearing a black v-neck dress and actually showed a bit of skin!:) For some strange reason, as thin asb68 she's always been, she is just sort of shy about her body and likes to cover up.

As someone who is aging,I can say we show our age on our hands and neck!! Same with the arm wobble. you can look great, have great skin tone/texture, color the gray hair, work out and have muscles and still have the wrinkly neck, hands and elbows!
I saw the Rolling Stones about seven years ago, third row. Jagger was amazingsinging and dancing non-stop for two hours (how many people can do that? I can't!) - slim, muscled arms, legs and a six pack ab when he raised his arms in the air - there was the under arm wobble!
It just the nature of the aging body.

Maybe she's a vampire and doesn't want to show the fang marks.

Too much smoking. It's called the weathered look and she's weathered!

She was completely naked in Something's Got to Give. She showed plenty of neck!

                  She's a skin cancer survivor-she covers up a lot with gloves/scarves/hats. Maybe that's why?

I saw her again a few days ago in, "Because I Said So" and there was a part where she and her 3 adult daughters were going for massages, and she wore those horrible, huge panties, with a long-sleeved white T-shirt TUCKED INTO THEM! It was absurd. Lying there on a massage table with a long-sleeved TIf she just cannot bear to be bare, they should have been doing something else, like pedicures, facials, etc. The long-sleeve dresses, the scarves, gloves, it's enough already. I'm all for modesty, but, reallywho wears a ls-t for a massage??

I would imagine that was a decision made by the costume department.
