Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — David Cronenberg

So we're seeing many actors and directors trying to reboot and return to their properties that made them famous, and failing.. but I think Cronenberg could benefit with today's technology. They couldn't be remakes, but the same creepy creature type premises. That's if he still feels that. Many artists evolve and can't step backwards, but old school Cronenberg with today's capablities could be interesting.
But then, do directors really get to control CGI like they do prosthetics? The sweatshops of Singapore would just ruin the fun 😕

That era is over and Cronenfans need to stop pining for it: Cronenberg Sr. isn't going back, nor should he. "Old school Cronenberg with today's capabilities" is his son. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check out Antiviral. I'm interested to see what he does next if someone will give him some money.

I agree. One of my favorite things about Cronenberg's work is watching him evolve.
          Can't stop the signal.
