she's in denial and it's pathetic.

wish she would go away already. she recently said that Hollywood is pretty much done with her but she's fighting against that. that is so stupid and pointless. actresses who are 40 and older aren't used as much in big roles in big, Hollywood movies. THAT IS UNIVERSALLY AND ALWAYS TRUE. that is a fact in every case. so, just because she's Hispanic and still looks really beautiful and really sexy nowadays doesn't mean she is exempt from that rule. Hispanic people age so well, look at Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek, and Penelope Cruz, but they all still aren't used as muc2000h in big Hollywood roles as the big Hollywood actresses nowadays.

You're not really one for all that 'women's lib' crap are you?
Salma should just stay home bear your children, cook your dinner, and provide you with sex upon request.
Never defend crap with 'It's just a movie'

I like Salma but even I'll admit she was overrated for a long time in Hollywood. With the exception of Frida I never heard anyone say "I want to see the new Salma Hayek movie." In fact, before the Oscar nomination she was in some downright awful films. She still has a name in Hollywood because for a long time she was one of the most prominent Latinas and is one of the most beautiful woman in show business. there but they're more Latinas having success now than ever who are more relevant right now and plenty of beautiful women. And she always had the problem with her accent. Sofia Vergara has used it to her advantage but it's always held Salma back from getting good roles.
In case you're wondering, I'm female. -

Exactly this. It's not because she's 50. It's because she's a so-so actress. The top line women still get offered some decent roles, maybe not always the lead, but some decent roles into their 50s. She just isn't one of those.
