Hehe
I get a Burt Reynolds movie channel on my android tv cable box and been watching a few of his movies lately.
City Heat is a weird movie. Both and and Clint were in it, but it was plagued with problems and a bad script. -

Actually yes he was. Eastwood was the number one star at the box office in the years 1972, 1973, 1983, 1984 and 1993.
He has also ranked in the top ten 21 times. That's only second to John Wayne who holds the all time record. -

Clint made the Man With No Name trilogy when he was just a tv star; they made him one of the biggest stars in the world.

I think if you ask a random person, whether its in America or Earth, you'll get more affirmatives when you say the name Clint Eastwood than the others mentioned.
I also think if he released a movie he was in tomorrow it would be a box office smash. His last one wasn't because he only directed. But I don't know anyone who hasn't seen "Grand Torino", including people like me who don't watch all new movies, but I saw it ONLY because Clint was in it. The other actors were awful, especially the siblings next door.

i haven't watched gran torino and i watch a lot of new movies so there.
you are exaggerating when you say the biggest star in movies hes not even close. everyone has their time to be famous in big movies in the '70s it was burt reynolds in the '80s it was eddie murphy in the '90s it was tom cruise in the '60s and '70s it was eastwood but he hasn't been a box office smash movie movie star since the '80s.
his new movie will fail at the box office bc he's in it.
he's way too old to be in a movie. it was intolerable watching him in the mule i was so amazed that it was an actor in a movie talking in the preview for his new movie bc he sounded like an old deranged mental patient dementia guy. so he's too old and unfit to be in movies.
look at woody allen even as self absorbed as he is even he knew he's too old to be in a movie about 10-15 years ago.

Take his last movie he acted and directed - Gran Torino.. He was about 80 years old.
150 Million - US
270 Million - Worldwide
IMDB Score - 8.2 (750,000 votes - great sample size)
Can anyone try to estimate an actor (who also directed) who'll have these results at 80. I can't think of anyone.

I'm pretty sure the biggest stars right now are Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr, and The Rock.
These dudes still make huge money and bring people in after all these years.
Guys like Mortsahlfan and Anthonyrocks are autistic morons living in a past that never was.
The Lion does not give a fuck. Bring. More. Sheep.
