Is it true that Wes Craven never wanted to do Horror? Nostalgia Critic claims Wes Craven was always into doing Dramatic films, but however, horror films came along his way, and then, he became a horror film icon. Is there any truth to this?

His parents were very religious and I think Horror kinda gave him a bad feeling of what his parents would think of him
