you do know though that this signal and is proof that her career is over. not that it always is the case bc dana carvey and chevy chase had a talk show and then had a career in movies after but 99% of the time this is proof that they are desperate for work bc they can't get it in movies and tv shows.
bc who ever aspires to have a talk show? to be the host of a talk show? or have anything to do with a talk show. this is usually what people do after their career is over.
to talk to stars when you are not a star. so it's kind of like critics who write about movies but can't make movies. talk shows hosts can't star in movies or tv shows so they talk about movies and tv shows with the stars from them.

Well, it's true that at her age, her career is going to run into trouble naturally. And her directing debut flopped as well as everything else she's done in the last 12 years besides one Adam Sandler movie. But she also said she wanted to take time off from making movies to raise her kids and she's only made one movie since 2015. She said the talk show schedule makes it easier to be with her family than shooting a movie would. Also, a successful talk show can make you very rich as Oprah, Carson, Letterman, etc. know. So it could be a smart move for an actress her age.

Oprah, Johnny Carson, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brian, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Ellen, Jack Paar, Dick Cavett, Mike Douglas, Steve Allen, Larry King.
Phew, and list goes on and on of people who built successful mulit-million dollar careers around talk shows.
