CM Punk being eliminated is one thing, but John Cena losing the Royal Rumble to Jey Uso is another. It doesn't make much sense other than WWE wanting to surprise the fans, which is still not a good enough excuse.

It makes perfect sense. Cena handed the baton over to Uso. Uso is massively over with the crowd, he has a cool vibe and entrance and he's a key part of the future. Cena is history.

Jey Uso will be apart of WWE's future but he's still a little green as a solo act and has some maturing to do away from the Bloodline. His win just comes across as random more than anything. John Cena vs Gunther or John Cena vs Cody Rhodes has more appeal.
