why no Paul Dini and Bruce Timm? Is this gonna become a new series?

Why aren't Paul Dini and Bruce Timm and company involved in this? Are they all done with teh DC world? The animation and some Voice Actors are the same but the writing is so different. Why would they do this? It just really confuses the hell outta me. God Lex has been turned into an idiot.
So is this part of the new Superman series that's coming out soon?

It's lip-service to promote the Superman Returns movie being released soon. It seems the quality didn't matter, they just wanted the publicity to fuel movie ticket sales.

so what do paul dini and bruce timm do?
They seem to be key to making the type of cartoons i like to watch. Scanning over my justice league and batman dvds, i bet they're the reason i watch those shows
