Perhaps the show didn't hit with the kids I loved it, and I am in my mid-twenties. I mean, it does seem like rather an adult themed "cartoon". I agree that cancelling was pretty damn stupid, seing as this is basically the best Spider-Man animation out there. I hope they will come to their senses, and put out more seasons some day.

its a shame it did get cancelled! But I've just found out that a new spiderman series is coming out in 2008! (I think!) A new animated show so we haven't seen the last of spidey yet!
Still I would have liked it if a second season was made! -

Wikiphiles moderating the MTV Spidey page on Wikipedia seem to be under the impression it airs the end of next month, and almost give the impression a first episode was produced.
Is there ANY hope here?
Lack of evidence suggests no, but Damn.
I was expecting to really dislike this series, but it was fantastic!
As far as cartoon shows taking their liberties, this is everything "The Batman" is not! -

I read somewhere that they're planning a new Spider-Man cartoon which would lead me to believe that this one is dead and gone. I'll look around see if I can find that link. I think it was over at Comics2film.com

I got this off of KungFuRodeo.com:
"Sony Pictures Television is becoming the first major television studio to enter the direct-to-DVD market for series. SPT has launched Culver Entertainment, a company focused on developing and producing drama, comedy and animated series exclusively for DVD and international distribution. The first project under the Culver Entertainment banner will be a new animated Spider-Man series. The first 13 half-hour episodes of the show are expected to be released next year. SPT president Steve Mosko said the launch of Culver Entertainment, named after the Culver Studios where it will be housed, is part of the companys overall strategy of finding new ways to reach the consumer directly."
The post didn't have a date on it so I kept digging and found this at comicbookmovie.com:
"There'll be a new Spider-Man cartoon next year from Sony Pictures Television, according to Hollywood Reporter. It'll be a direct-to-DVD release and be comprised of 13 half-hour episodes carrying the Culver Entertainment banner, a new company formed by Sony."
This one was postest in August of 2006.
From what I've read on other message boards it's going to come out in the fall after Spider-Man 3. -
