That just rubbed me the wrong way. Am I alone in finding it out of character for him to be bent out of shape about Stark Industries using his inventions in weapons? I can almost excuse his reluctance to send guns to the China archaeological team out of fear of them being stolen and used against them, but would have found it more in character for him to just make sure there was adequate security so they
    wouldn't
be stolen. Okay, later on guilt over all that is supposed to come into play, but before he begins a quest to redeem himself he needs to have that initial indifference. Something to be redeemed
    from
. No fair having him atone for his father's/inherited company's sins. They have to be his own.

LOL! Well, those um, devices were probably meant for, uh, uh, digging volcanic railroad tunnels and uh whale herding and uh impressing chicks. Yeah, that's it. Impressing chicks. How could Stark Industries possibly have come up with the idea of implementing any of the sorts of little gadgets Tony comes up with as
        weapons
        ?

yeah, he's against weapons, yet builds them into all of his suites and uses them for half the movie. granted not against humans, but who's to say the suit won't be stolen like the naughty naughty guns were? dumb.
