I was wondering if anyone has heard any rumours concerning a new Swamp Thing movie at all recently?
I think they could restart the franchise with a movie based on Alan Moores version of Swamp Thing. A little more darker and edgier. Could be a hit someday .

If you do a google search you can find some rumors.
According to an easter egg on the recent Swampthing tv series DVD, Len Wein (original Swampthing comic book creator) has written a draft or two for a new film to be produced by Joel Silver for Warner Bros. Joel says Swampy will be CGI. Apparantly it has been in development since atleast 2004 and there is no word (as far as I know) if it will (finally) take from the Alan Moore books or not.
