So I'm watching Avengers Assemble and yes I know I am speaking as an adult watching a cartoon but Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes was so much more respectful to the source material and did not talk down to the audience. But anyway This episode, Downgraded really takes the cake on stupidity.
The whole episode talks about how magick is secretly just science, particularly in Asgard and Vanaheim.
Now if this was just Tony's belief early on in the show I would understand but at this point in the series they have dealt with:
    Soul possessed Armor. (DoomStroyer)
Magically induced body switching. (Avenging Spider-Man Parts 1 and 2 of Ultimate Spider-Man.)
Norn Stones (Several episodes of all the shows of the current Marvel animated universe.)
    Unicorns (Hulk rode one)
Trolls. (Avenging Spider-Man Part 1 and 2 and Doomstroyer)
Dwarves. (Ultimate Spider-man episode Field Trp).
Doctor Strange Sorcerer Supreme (Doctor Strange episode of Ultimate Spider-Man and Run Pig Run).
Frankenstein's Monster (One episode of Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H and two episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man.
Blade The Vampire Hunter (a half-vampire). One episode of Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H, Two episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man.)
The Living Mummy (an actual undead Mummy) (Two episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man and one episode of Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.)
Morgan le Fay (A sorceress) - (One episode of Ultimate Spider-Man).
Vampires (Just about all of the first season of Avengers Assemble and the Halloween two part episode of Ultimate Spider-Man and Hulk and the agents of S.M.A.S.H.)
Werewolves (Two episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man and one episode of Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H).
    And just with Loki:
Loki in astral form, growing roots from nothing, the Asgardian realm of the dead, walking skeletons, trolls, norn stones, shapeshifting (Not just illusions), and if you count the other cartoons that share this continuity like Ultimate Spider-Man there were enchanted hot dogs, boy to pig transformations, Thor turned into a frog, dwarves, and so on
To preach that there is no actual magick in this Marvel animated universe NOW seems a bit late in the game and contrary to previously established episodes.
And to claim that all magick is science when they can't even get past the magnesium while explaining what the great light really is seems counter productive to any attempt at pro-science lesson here.
What the Heck was the point other than a major retcon of previously established events and characters?
