Why would we go reread
Old Man Logan
and remind ourselves of how much Fox is going to butcher what could and should have been a great film? Justew.

No, because I thought the ending with Hulk eating Wolverine was completely stupid. For one, I couldn't stand that artwork on Hulk. He was like Ang Lee King Kong size, which is always stupid-looking, but they had to introduce a little PIS to enable him to eat Logan (just like they made him huge in the Ultimate line so he could eat people, also a stupid line of books). The fact he somehow managed to swallow a grown man, with adamantium-laced bones, was some of the laziest writing I've ever seen in an ending to a major comic book run.

So you want Fox to attempt a 1:1 of Old Man Logan without Captain America's shield, Tony Stark's Iron Man suit, Red Skull, Hawkeye, Bruce Banner, Spider man's truck, Black Bolt, and more? Lmao this movie is going to be Death of Wolverine and X-23 Innocence lost combined. It's not going to be Old Man Logan. The best that Fox can do with what they have is take the set up where he kills the X-men and goes into solitude. -

Wouldn't that sort of ruin the franchise though? Unless it's said to be a What if? alternate timeline scenario (and we all know Fox loves their muddled timelines anyhow) why would anyone care about the franchise any longer if we all know they die in the end? I sure wouldn't.

By virtue of being in the future. The X-men are too old to fight anyway. The future of this franchise is going to be relying on Cable's time travel shenanigans, New Mutants, X-Force, and maaaaaybe prequels.
