I just had a quick comment on the fighting styles on the Netflix shows. I think they are fantastic representations of the characters and their personalities/training.
However, I am a sucker for good martial arts fighting and more sleek/professional choreography. So the fight scenes in Daredevil are just a little bit more fun to watch. Jessica Jones was more about the psychological abuse she suffered and had to move past ( which I actually found more impactful than a hero recovering from physical damage). I appreciate that, but man I just loved Daredevil's fight scenes so much. Not that Daredevil and Luke Cage don't have emotional or mental issues to deal with, but Jessica Jones had the worst psychological damage inflicted upon her (which is a bit off topic).
I will say that I still did really enjoy Luke Cage's fighting style, particularly scenes like the Crispus Attucks one. He is no nonchalant and cocky and just bulldozes his way through. I found it really entertaining to just have him slap his way through armed men effortlessly. He was a one man army.
It's obviously not JJ or LC's fault for having less choreographed fighting sequences (it makes more sense that they don't), but DD's fighting style is just another factor that makes it my favourite of these shows. I feel bad for saying that (since I completely get why the styles are different), but man I love watching DD fight the most.

Well Luke's fighting style was plain simple boxing. But he didnt use it because, if he even would uppercut anyone, their head would just blow away.

He's also got military combat training. We just don't really see him use much of it. You can see it a bit in the prison fights and the final fight against Diamondback.

Personally I didn't like the fight choreography in DD season 1 and last half of season 2.
It was ridiculously flarey with no real reason to be. Even that scene in the corridor when DD is tired in season 1 and there is a guy he just knocked down (the last guy iirc) he then decides to do some stupid flip in an attempt to KO the guy but the joke is that even after that useless move the guy still attempts to get back up lol.
          (04:03)
Why not just walk up and stomp the guy?
It takes less energy to perform and he is tired right?
The beginning of season 2 (especially vs the bikers) was choreographed much better.

Because Daredevil isn't superhumanly strong and completely disabling an opponent is a lot harder than movies have lead people to believe. The reason the fight scenes in Daredevil are so good, especially in season 1, is because they're incredibly realistic.

Because that can very easily kill a person, and Daredevil goes out of his way not to kill people.

Weak excuse. He is trained to fight and as most people who train to fight know, a fight can be over with one good hit. Ever hear the expression "hit on the button"?
Plus have you seen what happens when a trained fighter goes up against an amateur?
Watch the CM punk ufc fight for reference lol.

I'm sorry mate but using strings and having flare isn't realistic.

Well I have stomped a few people in my time and I ain't killed no-one yet lol.
