Literally or Figuratively? Let's say Lucifer exists did Lucifer actually granted him powers or he got his powers through a experiment aka the "ghost" people in this season?

Could be an alien that he believes to be a representation of the Devil. But I would guess its likely intertwined with the ghost storyline.

I'm pretty sure with Doctor Strange coming out in a few weeks, and the history of the character, it was the literal Devil. Although because it's Marvel that could mean Mephisto, who is The Devil in the comics.

In the comics there is a devil to which ghost rider owees being ghost rider, that is what he means, it aint Lucifer 'though, there are many devils in Marvel, including Lucifer, but I think it is Mephisto (judging from what others say and my lack of interest of googling to find out).
