This version of Batman would have a tough time against all the villains.

later on. Think about it, right now Bruce is only a kid but all the proto versions that were shown in the show so far will have years of experience by the time he becomes Batman
In the comics, Bruce created many of the iconic villains we see today with only a few exceptions that pre-dates batman but not really a threat to Batman. -

This is exactly the chronological problem with the show that people have frequently pointed out. Basically all the villains would have to remain dormant and stagnant for 10 more years so that Bruce can grow up and become Batman.
The best way to watch this show is as it's own continuity, on it's own terms, and not as a prequel to anything. I have a feeling that the show's creators really did conceive of a prequel-like show but were simply too incompetent to pull it off so they just did their own thing. -

I feel like the show wanted to be about the mafia and crime bosses in Gotham but didn't know how much fans would demand the supervillains. So instead we get a screwed up timeline where all the villains are much older than Batman and Jim Gordon should be Batman instead of Bruce Wayne.
