Lucifer, Tom Ellis, and Lauren German are all on the list of nominees for People's Choice Awards. Voting is ongoing to narrow the field.
If we could get one or more of these officially nominated for the award, it would raise awareness of the show and grow the audience, thereby ensuring a season 3.
So, if you've got a moment, go to the link below and vote. You can vote as many times as you want, so, pop over and cast your vote (one or a million).
The first category is for the show, then it will automatically forward you to Tom and Lauren's categories, respectively.

Right now you can nominate any show/actor to be nominated for any category. This means that even if Lucifer, Tom, Lauren, etc. are not on the list, you can still write them in.
And would someone with twitter please let the Lucifer actors/writers/showrunner know this? They also seem to be under the false impression that you can only vote for Lucifer, Tom, and Lauren in the crime tv category. That's not true. And I personally think they/it also deserve to be nominated in the drama tv categories, the comedy tv categories, and the overall best tv show category. -

I agree,I voted last night and did some write in's as well. Why not,it certainly can't hurt and it at the very least says thanks to the others.

I think to get an award they need the most recognizable and likely people to be nominated, the leads in the show. If they have categories for supporting actors, then by all means, write them in. But realistically, if the folks at People's Choice weren't aware enough of them to include them in their original selection process, they don't have much chance with the general public. I'm voting for the people who have the best chance of getting more people to watch the show.
But I agree, I'd be voting for the supporting actors too if I thought they had a chance. Usually, you get show recognition and then the next year the supporting actors start getting noticed. Unless you've got someone like Kirsten Dunst who won a nomination for Fargo, Season Two, just because of her name recognition.

Well, I wasn't talking about the supporting actors.
I just thought if the Lucifer fans could get the show nominated in the network drama, the network comedy, or/and favorite tv show category, it would get people to see that it's not just a tv crime show.
I have no problem with the procedural aspects of the show. Unfortunately, however, there are many who are biased against them and won't even give Lucifer a chance because they think it's just another procedural. -

Ohhhhh, my mistake. Assumed you were talking about the other actors.
Yeah, it hit me as odd that it got listed under "crime drama" too. Seriously odd, to be honest.
It didn't do so well in the other categories last year, maybe this is the switch they need? Although I have to say, I don't think I've ever heard one person praise this show for being a crime dramaall I ever hear is complaints. lol.

I'm sure the people at People Choice who come up with the categories and list of nominees probably never watched an episode of Lucifer. All they probably heard is that it's a show on Fox about the Devil solving crimes in LA, so they put it that category.
That's why I think it would be awesome if the Lucifer fans who know it's so much more than that could write Lucifer in for the other categories like favorite tv show, favorite network tv drama, or/and favorite network tv comedy.
That's probably some rule that the people working on Lucifer can't tell people to write Lucifer in other categories. But that doesn't mean that the fans can't. So if any of you have a twitter account and can tweet a Lucifer fan group, they can spread the word to other fans.
And I definitely think it has a chance to be nominated in the other categories if fans were aware that they could write them in. Seriously. This show may not get outstanding ratings, but there are many obsessed Lucifer fans out there.
Also, what do you mean it didn't do well in the other categories last year? I started watching Lucifer later in the season, so I wasn't following these contests. But how could it have been nominated for anything in November 2015 when it only aired in January 2016? -

I don't recall exactly but there were a number of things that LuciferonFox encouraged fans to vote for and Lucifer and the cast always came in lower in the voting. Tom got close a couple of times, and the best they ever did was the writers got some kind of recognition for "A Priest Walks Into a Bar" but nothing really big like a tv awards show. There are just other actors and shows with crazy fan bases, like Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, etc. They always overpowered our favorites.

Let's hope that changes now.

Oh, I remember those. I personally just voted a couple of times in them. I don't know if people take some internet poll seriously. And I'm sure the Lucifer people would have appreciated it, but I don't think it would have mattered all that much if they have won.
But getting them nominated on a televised show could definitely get people's attention, especially if they were nominated in categories besides crime drama. I'm not saying that I don't want them to get nominated in the crime drama category. I just think it would be totally awesome if they could also get nominated in favorite tv show or favorite network drama or favorite network comedy.
There's a slim chance of Lucifer ever being nominated for anything like the Emmy's. But the People's Choice are fan-driven, so why not. -

I hear you. I just don't usually do that kind of stuff on twitter, like fan type stuff. lol. I limit myself to liking things and retweeting things I think are funny. You should get an account and tear it up!

I voted for Tom and Lauren and Lucifer, but I wrote in the names in the other categories. I don't see the show as just a crime drama, when it has comedy and fantasy as well.
I'm sure you're right,but I don't think I caused harm.

also, just to make you feel better, there have been fans who've nominated DB and Lesley-Anne. DB thanked one and said not to forget Lesley-Ann, Rachel, Kevin, and Tricia, so it's not like they don't know. They're just not pursuing it.

That's too bad. This is such a great show and deserves to be recognized for the brilliance that it is. But many are not even giving it a chance because in their eyes, it's just a procedural.
I just think it would be nice if people realize it's funnier than most comedies out there and more heartwrenching and poignant than most dramas out there. -

Its only just recently been advertised here in the UK. We don't usually get much influence over US programming but with it being an amazon based show I can see it making enough to get a third series.
Gotta run.
