Lucifer and Chloe's relationship is probably my favorite romantic(ish) relationship ever on TV.
It didn't start off with a bang (well, except for the gunshot that killed Delilah). There were no sparks when they met. No big soulmate moment.
Yes, Lucifer lusted after Chloe from the beginning, but lust isn't anything special to Lucifer. And Chloe found Lucifer annoying. And I don't even think it was in the I-am-secretly-attracted-to-you-but-I-am-going-to-play-hard-to-get way.
There was interest in the beginning. And then, little by little, by helping each other, supporting each other, being there for each other, their relationships grew.
Given the nature of television, Lucifer and Chloe won't live happily ever afterat least not until the series ends (hopefully a long time from now). They will have problems, setbacks, misunderstandings. But I am confident that the writers gave Lucifer and Chloe such a good, solid foundation that no matter what they face, their relationship will only get stronger.

Let me third that - I too am enjoying this wild ride and I want to be on it for a long long time. They have so much material to work with and the writers have proven to be very creative and they certainly know how to create longing. LOL just a few epis ago I was frustrated because of the lack of moments between Chloe and Lucifer and then BAM we get so many yummy ones.
I think they will move them closer together and then Chloe finds out who he is - which will throw her for a loop, then just as she adjusts to that she finds out Lucifer can die around her and that he's vulnerable near her and that will freak her out and she'll back away from him. I think they will play this out for awhile yet give us amazing moments so we know the love is there and that eventually it will happen. I really like how they are doing it - slowly, building an amazing love story.

I agree with all of you. Favorite romantic relationship on television for me. Maybe all time.

I wonder if that's why there were so many episodes this season without any real good Lucifer and Chloe moments. So when we did finally start to get those moments again, they were so much more special.

Yeah, it was weird how they seemed to be almost denying there was ever a connection between them. I thought maybe with the new characters they just didn't have the time. But I'm glad it's finally starting to happen. And Chloe saving the day for Lucifer is seriously awesome considering he's done it for her so many times.

Well it was written in the first couple episodes of the season that Lucifer was trying to keep space between him and Chloe, and she eventually called him out on it
